In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.

The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
